Teething is when a baby’s teeth break through the gums. This usually occurs between 6 to 24 months.
Signs of teething
Teething experience may be differ from one child to another. Some of the symptoms include the following :
- increased drooling
- tooth that is visible below the gum
- irritability
- baby trying to chew, bite and suck on anything he gets his hands on
- bulging swollen gum
- baby bringing hands to face
- refusal to eat because of sore gum
- decreased sleeping
- puling ears
These symptoms may be sign of teething especially if most of them occur together. However it could also be a sign of something else. Contact your pediatrician if you have any concerns.
