Stress is part of life and growing up. However, you need to intervene when you realize its affecting the child’s physical and social well-being. Here are some of the signs that stress may be having a negative effect on your child.
- The child seems restless, tired and agitated.
- Your child develops physical symptoms such as headache and stomach pain.
- The child is depressed and and not telling you how she feels.
- The child’s grades begin to fall and she has no interest in attending classes and doing homework.
- She seems less interested in activities she was once interested in and is more interested in staying home.
- She exhibit antisocial behaviors like stealing, lying and forgets to do her chores or refuses to them. She becomes more dependent on you .
