When it comes to your child’s health, it is important to know when and where to head when sickness or injury occurs suddenly.
When to go to the pediatric urgent care
You can go to the urgent care in the following situations :
- Ear or sinus pain
- Mild fevers, cold or flu
- Mildly bleeding cuts
- Minor burns
- Mild or moderate asthma attack
- Minor allergic reactions and burns
- Nausea , vomiting and diarrhea
- Painful urination
- Dehydration
- Dizziness
- Sore throat
- Rash
- Pink eye or other minor eye problems
- Sprains and strains
- Urinary tract infection
When to go to emergency room ER
You have to go to the ER in the following situations .
- Difficulty speaking
- Difficulty breathing
- High fevers
- Fainting
- Seizures
- Swallowed object
- Shock
- Persistent vomiting
- Eye and head injury
- Infants under 12 years old with fever
- Severe abdominal pain
- Severe asthma attack
- Severe burns
- Numbness of face or limbs
- Infants under 12 weeks old with fever
- Eye and head injuries
- Severe cut or laceration
- Severe cough, congestion and sinus problems
- Traumatic injury
- Suspected overdose or poisoning
