The average attack can last for about 5 to 10 minutes  and can be very scary for kids and some worry they are having a heart attack. Some symptoms of panic  disorder  do infant mimic a heart attack and these  include the following :

  • Heart palpitations
  • Chest pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sweating
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea

Children  having these symptoms should be evaluated for underlying cause.

Some children just have one episode of panic attack and it never comes again. This indicates that they don’t have panic disorders. On the other hand, those afflicted with the condition usually develop deep seated anxiety over where or when the next episode will show up. They try to avoid situation or places that may induce the condition.
