Your baby’s sex
The sex of a baby is determined by the two sex chromosomes inherited from the biological parents. A baby normally inherits one sex chromosome from the father and another from the mother.
A woman has two X chromosomes and as a result give either of her X. A man has one X and one Y chromosomes . He can give either an X or Y chromosome. The egg from the mother contains the X chromosome . Therefore the X or Y chromosome from the father’s sperm is what determines the gender of a baby. A baby girl results if there is XX and a baby boy will result from XY.
In rare cases, you can have abnormal arrangement of sex chromosomes.
