Breastfeeding is the best source of nutrition for babies. However if you decide to give your baby formula, you need to avoid formula with GMOs (genetically modified organisms). GMOs are in about 85% of grocery store items including baby formula.
You should not give your baby formula with GMOs. Most baby formulas are loaded with corn and soy byproducts along with sugar. This means they are likely to contain GMOs. GMO has been linked to hormone disruption, gut damage and other problems that can lead to a lifetime of chronic health problems.
Practically every major commercial baby formula is composed mostly of corn, soy, and sugar components, each of which is more than likely GM. This is due to the fact that up to about 90 percent of corn, soy and sugar beet crops planted in the U.S. are GMOs.
To avoid GMOs , you have to offer babies who are unable to nurse organic formula or formula with no GMOs. In order to ensure the health of our children, no amount of GMOs should be acceptable in their diets.
