Washing baby’s clothing before he wears it
It is important to pre-wash your baby’s clothes, blankets and other items that will come into contact with the baby’s skin.. This is because a baby’s skin is sensitive and brand new clothing can irritate the skin. You also have to know that a lot of people may have handled the baby’s clothing at the store. Washing them reduces the risk of any infection from germs that may be on the clothing.
You should use a gently baby friendly detergent which doesn’t have dyes or perfumes to wash baby’s clothing because those can irritate the skin too. You can also use a regular detergent that do not have these potential irritants.
