Finding a new OB

It is never too late to change your obstetrician  during pregnancy. However during late pregnancy , it may not be ideal and may be tough to find someone who is ready to deliver you.

If the issues you have with your OB cannot be resolved and you really want to break up with him, then you need to act on that. It is important to work with a doctor you trust and are comfortable with during pregnancy.  Seeing an OB  you dont like can add to the stress of pregnancy.

You also have  to know that if you really want to avoid seeing that particular doctor , then it is better to find a new practice. This is because in most practices, the doctor who delivers the baby is usually the doctor on call at that time, not necessarily the one you were seeing.

During early to mid pregnancy it is easier to get a doctor who will take you. However it can be a little tough during late pregnancy although not impossible. You just need to look around for a doctor and explain to him why you’re choosing his services.
