Is bottled water safe than tap water ?

More people drink bottled water now more than ever.  Many brands simply take water from the faucet and repackage it as bottled water. The federal government regulates bottled water.

Bottled water sometimes taste better than tap water and usually cost more. Bottled water usually doesnt offer any health benefits over tap water unless you know your water supply is contaminated .

Fluoride is usually not added to bottled water. Fluoride is essential for strong teeth and prevents  tooth decay. For this reason you should let your dentist know if you are giving your child bottled water.

Should i use a water filtering system ?

Some people use the water filtering  system in their house.  This can improve the way the water tastes and looks. Some filters attach to the faucet and treats the water as it comes through the tap. Other filters are placed inside a special water container .

Water purified using  the water filtering system cost less than bottled water. However it is important to  carefully maintain these filters. Without proper care , bacteria or other contaminants can build in them.
