How to get pregnant

Are you trying to get pregnant?  Dont leave it to luck. You have to understand how to get pregnant.  You have to know the best time to have sex when you are planning to conceive. Timing is very important.

To increase your chances of conception, it is important to have daily intercourse in the days leading to ovulation and on the day you ovulate. Sperms can live 3 to 5 days but the egg is only around 12 to 24 hours. A good approach is having sex one to two days before you ovulate and again on the day you ovulate.  In this way there is a healthy supply of sperms waiting in the fallopian tube when the egg is released.

Exactly when a woman ovulates is not too clear and differ from person to person.  It depends on the length of your menstrual cycle. Ovulation usually occurs around 14 days before your next period. This is an average so it may be a couple of days  earlier or later.

There are signs to tell you that you are ovulating. These include the following :

• increased vaginal discharge that is wetter and egg white is texture
• a slight increase of about 0.4 to 1 degree Fahrenheit in basal body temperature

You can also use ovulation predictor  kits.  These are home tests that allow a woman to determine when she will ovulate.

What if i have irregular period ?

Most people have 12 periods in a year. However some people have less because there are some skipped months . Factors that may cause these  interruptions include :

• stress
• dramatic weight loss
• heavy exercise

The more irregular your period is, the more difficult it is to determine ovulation. You can see a fertility specialist or OBGYN to check for the cause of your irregular ovulation.

You can just decide to try and see what happens. You can try to have sex  at least 2 to 3 times a week and see what happens. You have to know that you do not need to reach orgasm before you can get pregnant.
