Lack of energy is common during pregnancy . It may vary from pregnancy to pregnancy  and from woman to woman. Lack of energy is more common in the first trimester and also during the third trimester. Low energy levels can make it hard to work or complete house chores. However there are ways  to help you feel more energized.

How to boost your energy level during pregnancy

 

There are a few things you can do to feel energized during pregnancy .

 

Get enough rest :You need to take naps and rest when you experience those low energy levels during pregnancy.  You can go to bed early and sleep in. You can also quick cat  naps during your break when you’re working .

 

Eat healthy : Eating a well balanced diet will boost your energy level. Nutrients such as protein and iron increase your  energy level. Unhealthy eating as well as eating a lot of carbohydrates and starch can reduce your energy level.

 

Exercise : Exercise is good for you and your baby. However when you overdo it , it can  drain your energy.  If that is the case, you can change your routine or limit some of your workouts to increase your energy level.

 

Change your schedule : A busy schedule can drain your energy. Cut down on responsibilities and  allow yourself more time to rest. This can be done by working less hours and getting help with household chores.
