Try and go out everyday : Go to places with open space such as playground or park where you child can run around and use most of her energy.
Set small goals : You can help your child to sit still or be controlled. Encourage them to sit for a short time and then build upon it. You have to remember the child will not be transformed overnight. It will take time.
Avoid danger spots : If your child can’t sit still at a restaurant, you can plan family picnics on the parks instead of restaurants. If you find yourself in an overly stimulating situation such as a friend’s birthday party, don’t worry about leaving early before your child loses it.
Reward good behavior : Reinforce good behavior with positive messages such as good job and you were a big help.
Avoid labeling your child negatively : Do not use names as stubborn, cry baby when describing your child to others. Focus on her positive traits and strength. This will enable you change your attitude towards your child as well as help the child change.
