Wearing spanx during pregnancy
There is no reason why you can’t wear spanx during pregnancy. There is no medical evidence that wearing these could have an adverse effect on the pregnant woman or unborn child. However tight clothes can make a pregnant woman uncomfortable. It can lead to acid reflux or abdominal pain.
Your baby is cushioned in a sac fluid. Real harm to the fetus will be caused by something like a blunt – force trauma such as a fall or car accident. A bit of squeezing from undergarment may just make you uncomfortable and cause some reddish ridges on your belly when you take the undergarment off.
You have to note that shape wear manufacturers now have maternity versions of their products that are more comfortable.
