Is postpartum swelling dangerous ?
Postpartum swelling is rarely serious and goes away on it’s on. After child-birth, you may still have some swelling in places such as legs, ankles and fingers. This swelling is not permanent and will disappear within a week as your body eliminates the excess fluid you accumulated during the last few months of pregnancy.
Your kidney will help expel most of this fluid which means you will urinate more than usual. You will also sweat more which is also another way your pores helps you get rid of the excess fluid.
