Average age for potty training

People often act surprised and disappointed when they see a 4-year-old in diapers. This will make you wonder if there really is any deadline for potty training . The average age for potty training is usually around 2 to 3 years. This is the reason why children who trained earlier are considered advanced and why it is frowned upon when children are not toilet  trained by age 4.

You should know that there is no relations between the age a child potty trains and intelligence.

You should not pressurize your child to do something  just to keep up with his peer . If you let your child feel the disapproval, it may affect his self-esteem.

If you discover that your child feels bad about himself, you may want to initiate toilet  training even if he hasn’t expressed any interest.  It is likely that he is ready and just waiting for encouragement .
