How your 4 week old baby is growing

Your 4 week old baby will make use of his vocal cords this week. She may coo and make “aah”sounds  especially when she sees her parents. Try to coo back . Hold her close and talk to her so that she can see your facial expression.Your baby  is growing fast and learning about the  world around her. Her  hearing is now fully developed. However it will be a while before she understands the world around her.

You may feel down and overwhelmed from the demands of the motherhood. It can seem that these baby blues won’t go away. If you feel anxious all the time , have trouble sleeping or getting up, you may need to seek help. Although it is normal to experience these feelings, a constant and overwhelming feeling of anxiety may be a sign of postnatal depression PND. Talk to your health care provider if you think you’re depressed.
