Pregnancy : When to a call a doctor

 
Call your doctor or midwife anytime during pregnancy if you experience the following symptoms :

  • pain , cramping or vaginal pain accompanied by fever
  • vomit more that 3 times a day or feel too nauseated to eat especially if it accompanied by pain or fever
  • pass some tissue from the uterus
  • have a leakage or gush of fluid from the vagina
  • have a fever
  • symptoms of preeclampsia such as severe headache, vision changes and  swelling of the face, hands and feet

You should also call the doctor or midwife if you have the following :

 
If you are between 20 and 37 weeks and experience these symptoms , call your doctor right away :

 
After 37 weeks, call the doctor as soon as you have these symptoms:

  • vaginal bleeding
  • fluid gushing or leaking from the vagina
  • have regular contractions for about an hour
  • baby is not moving as much or has stopped moving
