Dark room : Migraines can cause sensitivity to bright light. Find a dark , quiet room and turn off all electronics.
Ice pack :Place an ice pack wrapped in a cloth on your head while you lie down. The cold should constrict the blood vessels in your head and help alleviate the pain.
Rest : Try to take a nap to help alleviate your pain. Most people have reported feeling better after taking about an hour nap.
Take good care of yourself : It is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle to alleviate the symptoms of this intense headache. Migraine can be set off by dehydration, lack of sleep, tiredness and not eating well.
Other ways to treat migraine if natural ways don’t work .
After taking all the above steps, migraine may still persist. If this occur, you can take Tylenol . However you should note that you have to AVOID aspirin and ibuprofen. These medications are not safe to take during pregnancy.
If migraine still persists or gets worse, talk to your doctor about it. You should also try to avoid herbal remedies to relieve migraines during pregnancy. This is because they may not have been tested and can lead to some complications.
