Every once in a while it can be a rewarding process to create a family game night. Playing games together as a family is a great way to keep the family close, and to keep the family from becoming bored and getting into trouble. Certain games have been established throughout decades of game play. Games like Monopoly, Life, and Pictionary have been family favorites for the better part of a century. Finding a game that everyone can agree on is a more difficult process. Little children can’t play Monopoly to well, and some children may not catch on to Pictionary that quickly, either.

Sorry is a very easy game for children to play, and it is even fun for parents to play. Sorry is about as basic as board games get, but it is still one of the most popular selling games worldwide.

Not many family games get as silly as Twister does. It doesn’t take a whole lot of learning, or a whole lot of skill. Players stand on top of the game board, and are required to place their hands and feet on the color that is selecting by the game leader. Once bodies get twisted together, there is no telling who will be left standing to be crowned to winner of Twister.

 

Go Fish

 

Go Fish is a game played with a standard deck of playing cards. It is as easy as matching numbers face cards. Ask your opponent if they have a matching card to yours, if they do you take it and play again, and if they don’t you fish a card from the pond to try to get a match. The person with the most matches after no cards are left in the pond wins.

 

Operation

 

Operation is a board game that has lasted throughout the test of time. Kids of all ages enjoy trying to perform operations just like their doctor. Be careful, if you mess up the operation, then you will feel it. Kids love winning and losing at the game of Operation.

 

Connect Four

 

Connect Four is a game that checker like chips are placed on a grid. Players take turns placing their chips on the grid, and the first player to connect four of their color wins. Sounds easy, and that is because it really is. Anyone that can count to four can play Connect Four, and it is also a children’s favorite.
