Some parents may find that it can be very difficult to find a quality TV show for their kids to watch. It can be hard to tell which shows are going to keep your kids’ attention. Some shows are even good at sneaking in a learning lesson, and that can be great for all kids. Let’s face it; kids don’t want to be forced to learn all of the time, so letting them learn without them even knowing is always a plus. These kids’ TV shows rock, from a kids’ point of view, and also a parents’.
Peep and the Big Wide World
Peep and the Big Wide World is a show about a group of fowl friends; Peep, Chirp, and Quack. These three friends get into all sorts of precarious situations, and kids just eat it up. Peep and the Big Wide World is available for kids to watch on their local PBS station, and is also available on Netflix. There is always a learning lesson incorporated into the episode, as well.
Sophia the First
Sophia the First is a show that almost every little girl is guaranteed to love. The Disney Junior franchise features the junior versions of Disney’s favorite princesses. With episodes such as “The Science Fair” and “Mom’s the Word”, Sophia the First helps kids to understand the more practical aspects their life.
The Adventures of Chuck and Friends
The Adventures of Chuck and Friends is a great show for kids. Originally part of the Hub’s lineup of kids’ shows, The Adventures of Chuck and Friends shows young kids the importance of keeping friendships and working together to solve problems.
Cyberchase
PBS Kids has been producing quality kids’ TV shows for years. Cyberchase features a group of friends, and their boisterous bird Digit, traveling through cyberspace. The show incorporates math in a way that most kids have no problem following.
Schoolhouse Rock
You can’t create a list of kids’ TV shows that rock with the iconic Schoolhouse Rock. It originally aired on ABC in the mid 1970’s, and continued to air until 2009. No program has been accredited more by educators, and that is why kids can’t go wrong with watching Schoolhouse Rock. Kids will learn everything from math to the Preamble to the United States Constitution.
It is not an easy decision for some parents to even let their kids watch TV, but there are more quality options available now, than ever. Not all kids take to school lessons very easily, but most kids can get into a TV show that rocks.
